Making A Purchase
Placing an order or making an enquiry could not be easier. Just browse our Online Catalogue and select the quantity of each product you require from each page and put them into the shopping cart by clicking the button adjacent to the product or, in some cases, at the foot of the page. After you have finished your selection, click "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your request.

Your online "receipt" and automated email are not an order acceptance; we will formally confirm your request by a subsequent e-mail or phone and agree any delivery details with you. If you are an existing account holder your order will be shipped at your usual prices and payment terms.

All credit card transactions are processed via a secure server to safeguard your details (see Credit Card Security for more information).

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Please note: your credit card transaction will show "Better Mobility" as the merchant.

Shipping And Handling
We'll despatch your order within 24 hours if we have the products you have selected in stock, we normally do. If a product is out of stock we will contact you to discuss the likely delivery time or an alternative product.

We only sell to customers in the UK

If you have any specific delivery instructions (ie: boxes only, no pallets) please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate them.

All goods are carefully packed and shipped as soon as they are available to fulfil your order.

Delivery Charges

We do not operate a minimum order policy, you order what you want - no more, no less. We offer free delivery on all orders over £150 ex. VAT in value, below this value we will charge £5.95 + VAT for delivery.

Deliveries to non-mainland UK destinations may incurr additional delivery fees to those shown in the shopping basket and on online receipts and automated emails. Delivery to Northern Ireland will incur an extra charge of £15 in addition to the normal shipping charge shown in the shopping basket and on online receipts and automated emails.

Delivery Schedule
In most cases we are able to deliver mobility products and living aids within 14 days (many within 5 days). However, due to the nature of mobility products and living aids, some specialist items are produced to order. Therefore, it is advisable for you to contact us before placing your order so that we can give you an approximate delivery date. When a mobility product or living aid is ready for despatch we will normally contact you to let you know when it will be delivered to you.
Back Orders
If any of your ordered items are not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed or called with details to ensure that you are kept up to date with the progress of your order.
Tax Charges
VAT at the current rate applies to all orders dispatched for delivery within the UK and will also be charged on any EU order where we do not have the customer's VAT number.

Claiming VAT Exemption

If you believe you are exempt from VAT due to having charitable status or on medical grounds you may claim exemption during the checkout process. HM Revenue and Customs require us to keep on file a signed VAT exemption form, which you can download and print from our website. Initially the VAT will be charged to your order, however it will be refunded by us immediately upon receipt of your signed VAT form in the post. For orders being paid by cheque or postal order, please include the signed VAT form with your payment, and no VAT will be charged.

Credit Card Security
We do everything we can to ensure that credit card information entered on our site will not be accessed by any unauthorised person or company. Credit card details are transmitted via a web server that uses a protocol called 'SSL' (Secure Socket Layer) to prevent the interception of the details as they are transmitted.

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. Card Details are not held in clear text on any website and they are only decrypted after they reach our computer. The credit card details remain encrypted until they are downloaded and decrypted by Better Mobility. In addition to this, once your payment has been processed your credit card number is deleted as an added precaution.

We will take all reasonable care, within our power, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from Better Mobility.

Guarantee
We guarantee that you will enjoy the quality, service and value offered by Better Mobility to you.

General warranty exclusions:

- Parts which need adjustment, re-setting, replacement or repair due to abuse, fair wear & tear or to suit the individual needs of the user i.e. tyres, lap belts, bulbs, plastic shrouds and upholstery (damaged post receipt) , motor bushes, normal battery degradation, wheelchair brake adjustment, circuit breaker resetting, resetting user-induced problems on riser-recliners - cleared by disconnecting/re-connecting hand control etc.. Where call-outs occur for such items the purchaser will remain liable for the call-out, parts and labour costs. However, we will do our utmost to minimise these by talking through problems in depth before arranging to visit. Experience shows that many problems can be attributable to a lack of user familiarity and can often be overcome with some simple fault diagnosis and guidance on the phone.

- Damage attributable to misuse or accident for which we cannot be deemed responsible.
