Vicair Liberty Cushion

The interior of each Vicair® Liberty cushion is equipped with a valve which regulates the amount of 'free air' between the cells. When using the cushion for the first time, the valve is opened for a short time, allowing the amount of free air to be automatically adjusted to the user's weight and body contours. After following this procedure, the cushion is ready for long-term use. All Liberty cushions are available with two types of outer cover, Comfair (has a breathable top fabric for comfort and moisture dispersal) and Incontinence(vapour-permeable, waterproof material). The cover is two way stretch, guaranteeing optimal immersion of the body into the cushion.

Academy Backrest

Fits almost every wheelchair, thanks to a unique mounting system. The angle of the ABS plastic shell construction, covered with a Vicair cushion, can be adjusted and provides extra stability to the wheelchair frame and both can be removed easily for transporting. The back cushion consists of nine separately adjustable compartments, each filled with Vicair’s patented air-filled SmartCellsTM. Academy Junior Back System

The Academy Junior Back System consists of a cushion divided into eight compartments and a removable ABS plastic back shell. When used complete it provides support where it is needed. The side compartments, with a high cell density, combined with the ABS plastic shell, provide good lateral support. The Back System is provided with a Velcro attachment, which allows it to be fitted to the back posts of most types of paediatric wheelchair. The system is height and depth adjustable and available in three sizes. (Cushion shown without outer cover. Also shown, the Academy Junior Vector Seat Cushion which is available separately).
