Adaptable and lightweight
Description
The Tarta Original is a flexible, postural backrest featuring configurable aluminium vertebrae attached to a central spine that can be customised for the needs of the individual. The design allows the backrest to flex in specific locations, giving greater freedom of movement, or restricting movement where appropriate.
The Original is available in heights of 4, 5 or 6 vertebrae and in four overall widths, depending on the user's postural requirements. The vertebrae are available with different contour depths to provide appropriate support and the whole assembly allows for twist, providing freedom of movement without having to reduce support.
The vertebrae are covered with breathable padding which can be removed and washed at 30°C and the spacing between them allows air flow through the backrest.
The Original can be fitted to a rigid or foldable wheelchair.
