A clever back support and two chamber cushion to reduce sliding and shear
Description
The Vicair Liberty Back attaches to the back posts of the wheelchair and can be specified with a tension adjustable back support. The Liberty Back is the perfect replacement for a wheelchair with a normal sling back and works perfectly with the Liberty Backrest Cushion. Thanks to a simple strap which attaches to the back of the wheelchair it is easy to install and is extremely lightweight for transportation. The wheelchair can still be folded when the cushion is attached.
The interior of each Vicair Liberty Backrest Cushion is equipped with a valve which regulates the amount of 'free air' between the cells. When using the backrest for the first time, the valve is opened for a short time, allowing the amount of free air to be automatically adjusted to the user's weight and body contours. After following this procedure, the backrest cushion is ready for long-term use. All Liberty Backrest Cushions are available with the Comfair cover (has a breathable top fabric for comfort and moisture dispersal). The cover is two way stretch, guaranteeing optimal immersion of the body into the cushion.
