Axial Swing-Away Lateral Trunk Support: 

The axial swing-away lateral supports are multi-adjustable and provide the ultimate positioning for clients with complex postural needs. It's patented rotational system allows for the lateral pad to be positioned virtually anywhere assuring postural control, balance and improve of function for its users. If gradual alignment is required, the axial lateral supports can be endlessly adjusted for gentle and progressive correction towards neutral. 

Cane mount lateral bracket attaches directly to the wheelchair canes.

Fits to 25mm diameter round tubing, and attaches to either the Spex swing-away lateral bracket or the Spex Axial swing-away lateral bracket.

Doesn't mount to the wheelchair back support which means that the lateral is completely independent of the back support. 

The Axial Biangular lateral trunk support has been designed to provide superior trunk positioning and improved pressure distribution for individuals who present with scoliosis and / or other complex trunk asymmetries observed on the frontal plane. Its system comprises a pivot-hinge within the lateral pads which allows for intricate positioning for both concave and convex deviations as it adjusts to different body presentations. Together with the Axial technology and superior foam padding finish, the Biangular lateral support ensures optimum fitting to address asymmetric body shapes, and provides excellent pressure distribution through a wider surface area to optimise comfort. 

The latest design in Spex lateral support hardware features a Quick-Release mechanism, ideal for users who wish to easily remove their lateral support for transfers and other situations where laterals temporarily require removal from the wheelchair. Simple lever mechanism can be released by either user or carer. Available in a range of depth sizes to fit varying back support upholstery thicknesses, the Quick-Release hardware can be fitted to any of the Spex lateral trunk support pads. A locking pin provided for use in transport and to prevent  unintentional release of the support. 

Paediatric Lateral Trunk Support: 

This has been specially designed with slim componentry, allowing for easier placement on smaller wheelchairs.

It's patented mechanically rotational system ensures that the user's trunk is always kept well supported even in the most challenging positions. A well-fitting lateral support will improve balance, posture, and comfort in the wheelchair. 

Allowing movement in all support surface planes enables the lateral pad to rotate to correctly align to the user's trunk, regardless of complexity of posture. 

As well as offering width and depth adjustment that all Spex lateral supports provide, the innovative mechanism of the paediatric swing-away enables multi-angular adjustability of the support pad.
